Overview

Red Cap Plumbing, Air and Electric is currently seeking IT Support Specialists to join our team of creative and energetic professionals. As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our day-to-day technology infrastructure. From desktop applications to network systems, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving a wide range of IT issues, while also contributing to the onboarding process for new employees.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the initial point of contact for all computer and system-related concerns.
  • Install and configure software on computers and iPads.
  • Troubleshoot hardware problems and coordinate resolutions with vendors.
  • Assist in creating training materials for software products and iPad usage.
  • Manage warranty information on company laptops and electronic equipment.
  • Liaise with the corporate IT department to communicate planned projects and coordinate resources.
  • Work with third-party network administrators to resolve technical issues.
  • Complete detailed reports documenting technical assistance requests and resolutions.
  • Implement and monitor security configurations to enhance system resilience.
  • Maintain and enhance email security measures, including spam filter management.
  • Manage IT administrative permissions with a focus on security.
  • Utilize Intune to manage device deployments securely.
  • Implement security best practices for standardizing SharePoint and Teams creations.
  • Stay informed about emerging security threats and technologies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of IT support experience or an associate's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong people skills with a focus on user satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in Windows 10/11 and iOS settings and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Dependable, self-starter capable of managing multiple projects.
  • Customer service attitude with outstanding communication skills.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Intune, Azure Active Directory, and Exchange with a security perspective.
  • Familiarity with email security measures and management.
  • Basic understanding of iOS and Mobile Device Management with a security focus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in a security context.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a security-focused team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in implementing security controls.
